In the heart of Gurugram, Studio A has orchestrated a spatial masterpiece that transcends the traditional retail format. Shringar - Parul Garg Makeup Studio is not merely a service center; it is a meticulously crafted "palace for the bride," where the ancient Indian ritual of adornment, Shringar, is reimagined as a contemporary architectural journey.
Founder and Principal Designer Akanksha Gupta has leveraged her belief in the quiet power of materiality and proportion to create an environment that feels both theatrical and deeply intimate. By drawing on the opulence of Rajasthani heritage, the studio serves as a sanctuary where a bride’s transformation is celebrated with the gravity of a royal ceremony.

A Narrative of Thresholds
The spatial planning follows a sequence of immersive experiences. The journey begins at grand carved wooden doors, immediately signaling a departure from the mundane.

The Scalloped Gateway: Visitors are greeted by scalloped arches reminiscent of palace gateways, which frame views and create a rhythmic sense of architectural layering.

The Central Lounge: Acting as the heart of the studio, a marble fountain centers the space, surrounded by plush seating in jewel-toned fabrics.

The Processional Corridors: Repeating arches and dramatic black-and-white patterned marble flooring guide movement with a strong sense of procession and visual continuity.
Materiality & The Artisanal Hand
The design language is a sophisticated dialogue between traditional Indian ornamentation and contemporary spatial clarity.

Tactile Storytelling: Hand-painted murals depicting royal courts and traditional festivities bring a vivid narrative to the walls, celebrating Indian craftsmanship.

The Color Palette: The studio utilizes "intentional vibrancy" with rich pinks, royal blues, and emerald greens inspired by Indian bridal textiles, balanced by dark wood finishes and stone flooring.

Luminous Glamour: Crystal chandeliers introduce a layer of sophisticated glamour, while custom furniture pieces provide warmth and tactile richness.
Zoning: From Darbar to Private Sanctuary
While the aesthetic is maximalist and celebratory, the functional planning remains highly disciplined.

The 'Darbar' Experience: Public waiting areas and consultation zones feel grand and welcoming, designed to accommodate guests in a setting that feels like a royal court.

Rani Mahal: Private makeup rooms, such as the "Rani Mahal," are intimate environments featuring professional workstations with large illuminated mirrors.
Every detail, from the ergonomic chairs with peacock-embroidered fabrics to the specialized lighting, is designed to support the minute requirements of the makeup artist.
"For me, design is not about filling spaces, but about shaping experiences. The most powerful interiors are those that feel effortless, where proportion, light, and material quietly come together to enrich everyday life." - Akanksha Gupta
