In the heart of Nashik, where tradition often hums a steady tune, Opulent Design Studio has composed a visual melody that feels both fresh and profoundly familiar. Kamal Kunj, a 900 sq. ft. residence, is not merely a home; it is a "Pastel Sanctuary" rooted in the spiritual and aesthetic symbolism of the lotus, symbolizing growth, harmony, and purity.

The Ideology: Modernity Meets Mindfulness

The design narrative is anchored in a delicate equilibrium between contemporary chic and emotional heritage. Principal designers Prashant Patil and Dhanashri Kshatriya have leaned into "intentional vibrancy," rejecting sterile palettes in favor of zen pinks, turquoise greens, and warm beiges. This color story is more than a choice; it is a response to the client’s spiritual devotion to Gauri Ganpati celebrations, ensuring a sense of calm permeates every corner.

Tactile Storytelling through Revival

A standout editorial feature of Kamal Kunj is its commitment to conscious reuse. Rather than discarding the old, the designers have revitalized existing wooden furniture, polishing and upscaling it to act as focal points.

A restored six-seater wooden table takes center stage, paired with chairs upholstered in vibrant turquoise. The backdrop: a whimsical mural of abstract lotus doodles, adds a layer of playful artistry.

Revived wooden seating is juxtaposed against a soft-toned TV unit with subtle gold accents, bridging the gap between nostalgia and modern luxury.

The Material Language

The home’s sensory depth is achieved through a meticulous selection of materials that invite touch and evoke warmth:

In the common handwash zone, pastel green tiles create a common language with the kitchen's cabinetry, while a beige countertop and round mirror add a touch of glamour.

Fluted glass shutters in the kitchen introduce a sleek, modern edge to the soft, matte surfaces.

Private Retreats: Nature and Hues

Each bedroom serves as a distinct chapter of the sanctuary.

The Son’s Bedroom: A lush tropical botanical wall panel brings the outdoors in, creating a mindful backdrop for rest.

The Master Suite: A personal retreat defined by celestial blue cabinetry accented with floral artwork.

The warm peach headboard, paired with the tactile richness of rattan, creates an environment that feels grounded and quietly luxurious.

The Recreational Room: A flexible retreat featuring a cozy bay window seating nook, inviting the residents to pause and relax.

Kamal Kunj stands as a testament to the fact that luxury doesn't always have to be loud. Sometimes, it is found in the softest hues and the most intentional details.
