Sattva Abode: Where Village Roots Meet Contemporary Elegance

Opulent design studio unveils the Sattva Abode, a residential interior project in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, that beautifully balances traditional warmth with modern sophistication. Completed in 2025 , this 1200 sq.ft. home is a masterclass in blending earthy textures, natural motifs, and timeless materials to create a serene and refined urban sanctuary.

Design Philosophy: Bridging Past and Present

The core concept driving the design journey was the client’s desire for a home that bridges their past and present, harmonizing the warmth of their village roots with the elegance of contemporary modern aesthetics. Principal Designers Prashant Patil and Dhanashri Kshatriya achieved this by introducing natural materials, handcrafted finishes, and a consistent warm-neutral palette throughout the abode.

The Welcoming Entrance

The journey begins at the Entrance Lobby, which sets an immediate welcoming and spiritual tone.

The space is anchored by two vertical slits of fluted glass that allow soft, diffused light to filter in. A larger-than-life warm-toned Ganpati painting is the spiritual focal point of the area. A beige shoe rack and subtle wall sconces maintain visual balance, while the main door, featuring beautiful rose CNC patterns, serves as a striking focal feature.

Serene Foyer and Puja Area

The Foyer makes a memorable first impression with a warm maroon console adorned with bird-themed artwork.

A see-through glass partition subtly reveals the Puja unit. The Puja unit itself is crafted in teak veneer with pocket doors and features a backdrop of white marble with brass inlay. Adding richness, the ceiling in this area incorporates a combination of wood and fabric to create a divine yet understated atmosphere.

Living Room: Interplay of Textures

The Living Room is a fine example of the design philosophy, showcasing an interplay of textures and tones.

Contrast is introduced with a red backdrop that highlights the sleek display shelves. The functional and elegant TV unit combines wood and stone, subtly enhanced with golden T-Patti detailing. Comfort and elegance are united with a beige sofa featuring maroon handrests, an off-white abstract sofa, and a contrasting black glass-and-marble center table.

Private Sanctuaries

The transitional Passage maintains the consistent warm-neutral palette as it seamlessly connects the public and private zones.

Master Bedroom: Sophistication and Serenity

This sanctuary balances sophistication with serenity.

A tropical-themed floral wallpaper sets a soft, immersive backdrop. The wooden fluted backrest and headboard, outlined with black piping, enhance the tactile textural detail of the space. The wardrobe, finished in fabric laminate (Merino India ), adds a muted, textile-based luxury to the master space.

Kids' Room: Playful Functionality

The Kids' Room is designed to be playful yet organized, emphasizing flexibility and youthful energy.

The room features striking blue monochromatic floral wallpaper. It is equipped with an adjustable study table and integrated bookshelves, alongside two single beds to keep the space lively and functional.

Guest Bedroom: Warm Hospitality

A cozy yet elegant space featuring an inviting orange headboard, set against a contrasting floral beige wallpaper.
